- Support the end-to-end execution of assigned community cancer screening camps as per programme SOPs and schedule.
- Assist the RMO and medical team during cancer screening activities.
- Perform basic nursing assessment, including recording vital signs and relevant patient information.
- Assist in patient preparation and ensure appropriate positioning and privacy during clinical examinations and screening procedures.
- Support operation and handling of screening equipment as per training and programme protocols.
- Identify and immediately communicate any abnormal findings, patient concerns or clinical emergencies to the Camp Head/RMO.
- Assist in beneficiary registration, queue management and smooth patient flow throughout the camp.
- Provide basic health education and support the medical team in counselling beneficiaries regarding cancer prevention, risk factors, warning signs and screening.
- Assist in explaining screening procedures to beneficiaries and address basic queries in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Support referral of beneficiaries with suspicious/abnormal findings and assist in maintaining referral records.
- Support follow-up tracking of referred beneficiaries under the direction of the programme team Head.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient, screening, referral and camp-related documentation.
- Assist in preparation of camp-wise data and reports.
- Coordinate with ASHAs, ANMs, community workers and other field staff for beneficiary mobilization and camp flow.
- Ensure availability, cleanliness and proper arrangement of nursing supplies, consumables and clinical equipment at camps.
- Maintain infection-prevention practices, hygiene and protected disposal of biomedical waste as per applicable protocols.
- Maintain patient privacy, confidentiality, dignity and respectful communication at all times.
- Coordinate with the Head, Camp RMOs and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient camp operations.
- Identify and escalate clinical, operational or safety concerns to the Head Community Oncology/ Camp RMO
- Participate in training programmes, team meetings, review meetings and other programme activities as required.
- Be willing to travel to community and field locations as part of the programme.
