Industrial Forge & Engineering Co. Ltd. established in 1983, is a Jamshedpur-based manufacturer of closed-die forgings and machined components with an installed forging capacity of approximately 25,000 MT per annum. IFORGE caters to Automotive, Railways, Agriculture, General Engineering and Steel Plant sectors.
Role
Responsible for developing new business, managing existing customers, handling RFQs and commercial negotiations, and coordinating new product development for forgings and machined components.
Key Responsibilities
Connect with existing and prospective customers to generate RFQs and new business opportunities.
Identify and develop new customers across Automotive, Railway, Agriculture, Construction Equipment, General Engineering and other relevant sectors.
Understand customer drawings, specifications, volumes and technical requirements to evaluate new enquiries.
Understand detailed product costing including raw material, forging, heat treatment, machining, tooling and other conversion costs.




Prepare quotations and justify/negotiate pricing with customers based on actual cost drivers.
Understand customer target prices and negotiate commercially viable pricing while protecting company margins.
Coordinate development of new parts and assemblies from RFQ, feasibility and tooling through samples, approval/PPAP and regular production.
Follow up with customers for purchase orders, schedules, forecasts, payments and outstanding commercial matters.
Maintain robust relationships with customer Purchase, Vendor Development, Engineering and Supply Chain teams.
Prepare and execute an annual business plan covering sales targets, new customers, new parts, RFQ pipeline and growth opportunities.
Maintain RFQ and business pipeline: RFQ → Quotation → Negotiation → Development → Approval → Order → Regular Business.
Monitor market opportunities, competitors and potential new sectors/customers.
Coordinate internally with Engineering, Production, Quality, PP
