Medical Device Test Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for a Medical Device Test Engineer with 1–2 years of experience and good knowledge of medical devices, medical equipment, or healthcare products. The candidate will be responsible for testing medical equipment, executing test cases, identifying defects, and maintaining test documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform functional, system, performance and regression testing of medical devices/equipment.
- Execute test cases based on product requirements and specifications.
- Test equipment under normal, abnormal and boundary conditions.
- Verify device functionality, performance, alarms and safety-related features.
- Record test results, measurements and observations accurately.
- Identify, document and track defects and support retesting after fixes.
- Perform testing using appropriate test and measurement instruments.
- Prepare and maintain test cases, test reports and test execution records.
- Support Verification & Validation (V&V;) activities and requirement-to-test traceability.
- Work closely with Software, Hardware, Quality and Engineering teams to resolve issues.
- Ensure testing is performed with a strong focus on quality, safety and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills:





- 1–2 years of hands-on testing experience in medical devices, medical equipment, diagnostic equipment, patient monitoring or similar healthcare products.
- Good understanding of functional and system testing.
- Ability to read and understand technical requirements/specifications.
- Experience in creating and executing test cases.
- Basic knowledge of defect reporting and tracking.
- Good analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Good documentation and communication skills.
- Basic hands-on experience with test/measurement equipment is preferred.

Good to Have

- Knowledge of Medical Device V&V;.
- Exposure to standards such as ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 60601, IEC 62304 or IEC 62366.
- Experience with dialysis machines, patient monitors, diagnostic equipment, infusion systems or other critical-care equipment.
- ISTQB certification.

Education: B.E./B.Tech in Biomedical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Medical Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or a related engineering discipline.

Ideal Candidate: A hands-on tester who understands medical devices/medical equipment, has positive attention to detail, follows structured testing practices, and is comfortable working in a quality- and safety-focused environment.

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
