Job Title: Assistant / Deputy Manager LV Connector Design & Development

Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly motivated Connector Design & Development Manager to handle the full product lifecycle of automotive connector systems. The ideal candidate will have robust skills in advanced connectors, 3D CAD modelling, prototyping, design calculations, design validation, and product validation.

Job Context & Challenges This role operates in a dynamic, fastpaced environment requiring adaptability and resilience. Based in Pune, it may involve occasional travel to customers, plants, and suppliers. The position demands handling ambiguity, continuous problemsolving, and meeting tight deadlines with limited resources.

Key Responsibilities / KPIs

- R&D; skill upgradation: design reviews, approvals, DFMEA, documentation, DFM/testing support, project coordination.
- Cost reduction & VAVE: localization of connectors and raw materials, development of VAVE products, standardization across OEMs.
- New technology adoption: design and develop nextgeneration connectors (PCB connectors,



advanced contact technology, miniaturization, EMI shielding, environmental sealing, modular designs).
- Support plant, customer, and supplier requirements while building local design competencies and contributing to global affiliate projects.

Organizational Relationships

- Internal: Reports to Team Lead; collaborates with peers and junior engineers.
- External: Liaises with suppliers, customers, and service providers.

Job Specification

- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. (Mechanical/Electrical)
- Experience: 5–8 years in automotive connector design and development
- Essential Skills: Automotive electrical connection systems, connector standards (JASO/ISO/DIN/USCAR/AIAG/LV124/LV148/LV215/LVCS), electromechanical product design, DFMEA, GD&T;, VAVE, prototyping, validation, documentation, and crossfunctional collaboration.
- Desirable Skills: PLM, tooling knowledge, awareness of metal/resin manufacturing processes
