Role & responsibilities

Drive overall sales and business development for General Medicineacross the assigned zone.

Lead, guide, and monitor Team Members.

Develop and execute zonal sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Review territory-wise and product-wise performance and identify prospects for growth.
Monitor achievement of sales targets, doctor coverage, prescription generation, productivity, and market penetration.
Coach and mentor RMs and MRs to improve their selling skills, product knowledge, and overall performance.
Ensure effective implementation of marketing strategies, promotional campaigns, product launches, and company initiatives.
Analyze sales reports, market trends, competitor activities, and territory performance to develop corrective action plans.
Ensure optimum utilization of manpower and effective territory allocation.
Support recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of sales team members.
Maintain robust relationships with doctors, distributors, stockists, and key trade partners.




Ensure adequate product availability and coordinate with the relevant teams to resolve supply-related issues.
Prepare and submit business reports to the GM Sales.
Ensure compliance with company policies, sales processes, and ethical marketing practices.

Preferred candidate profile
Experience: Relevant experience in pharmaceutical sales, preferably in General Medicine.
Proven experience in handling large field sales teams.
Should have managed Regional Managers / First-Line Managers and a sizeable MR team.
Strong experience in Zonal Sales Management, Business Development, Team Handling, Target Achievement, and Market Expansion.
Solid understanding of the Ahmedabad/Gujarat pharmaceutical market would be preferred.
Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and people-management skills.
Should be willing to undertake extensive field travel across the assigned zone.

Graduate in any discipline; MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing/Management will be an added advantage.
