SAP BW/HANA Consultant – Job Description

Role Overview

An SAP BW/HANA Consultant works with SAP Business Warehouse on SAP HANA to design, develop, and manage enterprise data warehousing and reporting solutions, enabling real-time analytics and business insights.

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop data models in SAP BW on HANA
Create and manage:
InfoObjects, InfoProviders (ADSOs, Composite Providers)
DataSources and transformations
DTPs (Data Transfer Processes)
Build and optimize data flows and ETL processes
Develop reports using:
SAP BusinessObjects
SAP Analytics Cloud
Perform data extraction from:
SAP S/4HANA
SAP ECC
Non-SAP systems
Optimize performance using HANA features (pushdown, calculation views)
Monitor data loads and resolve issues
Implement data security and authorization concepts
Participate in system upgrades, migrations (e.g., BW to BW/4HANA)
Collaborate with business teams to understand reporting need
