Job Summary

The Pastry & Bakery CDP/DCDP is responsible for overseeing daily pastry and bakery operations within their assigned section. The role involves preparing high-quality desserts and baked goods, supervising commis chefs, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring consistency, creativity, and efficiency in production.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Quality
- Prepare and present pastries, desserts, breads, and bakery items as per standards
- Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation
- Execute recipes accurately and maintain portion control
- Assist in menu planning, new dessert development, and seasonal specials

Supervision & Training
- Supervise Commis Chefs and assign daily tasks
- Train junior staff on pastry techniques and kitchen standards
- Monitor performance and provide on-the-job guidance

Operations & Hygiene
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene,



and HACCP standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of pastry work areas
- Proper storage and labeling of raw materials and finished products

Inventory & Cost Control
- Assist in stock control, ordering, and minimizing wastage
- Monitor ingredient usage and report shortages
- Support cost control initiatives within the pastry section

Teamwork & Coordination
- Coordinate with kitchen and service teams for smooth operations
- Assist senior chefs during banquets, events, and high-volume service
- Ensure timely preparation and service of all pastry items

Qualifications:
- Diploma / Degree in Bakery & Pastry Arts or Culinary Arts
- DCDP: 2-4 ye
