Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

As the Deputy Manager - Production (Engine) at Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Zaheerabad, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the entire engine assembly and testing operations within the Farm Division. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Planning, organizing, and supervising engine assembly line activities to ensure timely and quality production outputs.
- Implementing and maintaining manufacturing best practices, including continuous process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Coordinating cross-functional teams comprising production workers, quality control, maintenance, and logistics to meet production targets.
- Monitoring assembly processes to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Managing resources efficiently, including workforce planning, tool allocation, and machine utilization.
- Analyzing production data, identifying bottlenecks, and driving corrective actions to improve throughput and reduce downtime.




- Collaborating closely with the Engineering and Quality departments to address any technical issues or deviations during product assembly.
- Leading training and development initiatives to upskill team members in assembly techniques and safety procedures.
- Preparing detailed reports on production metrics, workforce performance, and equipment status to senior management.

This position requires a hands-on approach and excellent leadership skills to foster a collaborative and high-performance production workplace. You will be a pivotal figure in ensuring that Mahindra tractors maintain their reputation for durability and reliability.

Experience

The ideal candidate will possess substantial industry experience, typically ranging between 5 to 10 years, with a focus on manufacturing and assembly in the automotive or heavy machinery sector. Experience in the following areas is highly desirable:
