Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior SQL/PLSQL Developer with 5-7 years of expertise in SQL and PL/SQL development. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance database solutions that support our applications and business intelligence initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in database architecture, performance optimization, and hands-on experience with data modelling and integration.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL and PL/SQL code, including advanced stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.

- Collaborate with data architects, developers, and business analysts to translate business requirements into scalable database solutions.

- Perform advanced database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing to enhance application and data retrieval speed.

- Architect and implement productive database schemas, data models, and database structures for new and existing applications.

- Oversee ETL processes, data integration workflows, and data transformation activities to ensure accurate and timely data availability.

- Develop and enforce database coding standards, best practices, and documentation to ensure team-wide consistency and code quality.

- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to junior developers, conducting code reviews and fostering knowledge sharing within the team.

- Actively troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues, ensuring system stability, data integrity, and security.





Experience

> 5 years of experience in SQL and PL/SQL development, including advanced query optimization and performance tuning.

Technical Skills

- Expert-level proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, with a strong portfolio of complex stored procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.

- Significant experience with Oracle Database; additional experience with other RDBMS platforms (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) is a plus.

- Expertise in Exception handling and large datasets.

- Expertise in performance tuning, including indexing strategies, partitioning, and database optimization techniques.

- Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and best practices for scalable application support.

- In-depth knowledge of ETL processes, data transformation, and integration.

- Familiarity with data warehousing, data governance, and reporting tools is advantageous.

- Hands-on experience with database management tools like SQL Developer, TOAD, or similar.
