About the role:

- We are seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead automated quality engineering across
- our mission-critical Insurance domain. This domain manages complex, highly regulated
- workflows including patient insurance eligibility, claims generation and transmission, and




- automated remittance processing (ERA/EOB).
- In this role, you will be more than a test script writer: you will operate as a systems-focused
- Quality Engineer who takes extreme ownership of end-to-end software reliability. You will
- design, build, and maintain robust test automation frameworks spanning up-to-date web user
- interfaces, distributed microservices/APIs, and high-volume batch processing systems.
- You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with software engineers, tech leads, and product managers
- to modernise legacy workflows, shift quality left, and establish rigorous quality gates.
- Furthermore, you will actively champion the adoption of AI-assisted engineering tools and
- agentic workflows to accelerate test suite/test data generation, optimize test maintenance,
- and enhance team velocity.

What You Will Do

- End-to-End Automation Frameworks: Architect, implement, and maintain scalable UI,

API, and integration test frameworks primarily using Playwright, TypeScript/JavaScript, and .NET (C#).

- Complex Batch & Asynchronous Testing: Build automated validation for multi-step batch

programs, secure file transfers (SFTP), EDI handling (e.g., 837 claims, 835 remittances, 270/271 eligibility), AWS cron jobs, database updates, and custom background schedulers.
- Domain & Business Logic Validation: Translate intricate orthodontic and healthcare

insurance rules (adjudication, claims routing, payment reconciliation) into deterministic automated test scenarios.
- AI-Assisted Quality Engineering: Champion and integrate AI-assisted engineering

practices (e.g., Claude, agentic testing frameworks, Model Context Protocols) to automate test generation, synthesize complex edge cases, and streamline flaky-test triage.
- API Mocking & Service Virtualization: Implement resilient mocking, stubbing, and

virtualization strategies (e.g., WireMock, MSW) to isolate dependencies, accelerate test execution, and run stable integration pipelines.
- Test Data Management (TDM): Design and automate test-data lifecycles, includingprovisioning, scrubbing, synthetic data generation, masking (PHI/PII compliance), and

database resets.
- CI/CD Integration & DORA Alignment: Embed automated regression suites, smoke tests,

and quality gates into CI/CD pipelines (e.g.,



GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins) to support fast, dependable releases and healthy team DORA metrics.
- Root Cause & Flakiness Remediation: Lead systematic debugging across distributed

environments to pinpoint whether issues stem from product code, automation code, test data, or infrastructure, aggressively driving down test flakiness.
- Technical Mentorship & Quality Standards: Drive code reviews for test suites, enforce

DRY and modular framework designs, and partner with developers to build inherently testable services and frontends.

What You Will Bring

Education & Core Experience

- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent

practical experience.
- Experience: 10+ years in software engineering and quality assurance/test automation,

with at least 3+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience using Playwright. Technical Skills & Automation Expertise

- Automation Tooling: Advanced expertise in Playwright across modern web applications

and headless environments.
- Languages: High proficiency in TypeScript / JavaScript and working fluency in C# (.NET

Core / .NET Framework) to read application logic, debug services, and build test utilities. Python proficiency is a strong plus.

- Database & SQL: Strong relational database expertise with SQL Server, including

complex query design, stored procedure understanding, and data validation.
- API Testing & Protocols: Deep understanding of REST APIs, HTTP/S status codes,

JSON/XML schemas, payload assertions, authentication (OAuth, JWT), and contract validation.
- Batch & File Processing: Direct experience testing file-based batch systems, scheduled

jobs, and healthcare data interchange standards (EDI 837, 835, 270/271).

- CI/CD & DevOps: Proven track record integrating automated suites into deployment

pipelines, leveraging Docker/containers, and working within cloud ecosystems (AWS preferred). AI & Automation Mindset

- Demonstrated experience or active experimentation utilizing AI coding assistants (e.g.,

Claude) to accelerate automation authoring.
- Familiarity with agentic workflows or automated regression generation tools to reduce

repetitive manual test maintenance.Preferred Pluses

- Domain experience in orthodontic/dental practice management, healthcare revenue cycle

management (RCM), or healthcare fintech.
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks (React or Angular) to optimize selector strategies

and component-level integration testing.
- Experience with distributed tracing, log analysis, and APM tools (e.g., Datadog,

CloudWatch).
