Working Model: Onsite; rotational morning/afternoon shifts with 24x7 readiness and night shifts during approved maintenance windows

Role Summary

We are seeking an expert Senior Network Consulting Engineer / High Touch Engineer to drive incident management, network architecture compliance, and complex maintenance-window execution for the mission-critical Data Center and enterprise campus networks at the National Stock Exchange (NSE). In this role, you will lead proactive lifecycle management, ensure absolute baseline compliance, and serve as the primary technical authority for high-severity network events in a high-frequency trading setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Incident Management &
- Escalation: Lead real-time troubleshooting for critical P1/P2 incidents, coordinate root cause analysis, and interface directly with Cisco TAC and internal architecture teams.
- Change Execution &
- Maintenance: Author Methods of Procedure (MoPs), lead approved change windows, and execute complex migrations, upgrades, and non-disruptive patching during night maintenance windows.
- Auditing &
- Compliance: Conduct software bug scrubs, PSIRT advisory audits, hardware/software end-of-life reviews, device health audits,



and configuration hardening to eliminate drift and ensure continuous baseline compliance.
- Architecture &
- Optimization: Benchmark and optimize network configurations against Cisco Validated Designs (CVD) across advanced routing, switching, timing, and multicast architectures.

Required Technical Skills &

- Expertise

- Routing &
- Protocols: Advanced mastery of OSPF, eBGP/iBGP, MP-BGP EVPN, route redistribution, route-maps, prefix-lists, and path-selection tuning.
- Data Center &
- Switching: Deep hands-on experience with vPC, STP/Rapid-PVST/MST, VLAN segmentation, LACP, and VXLAN EVPN fabrics.
- Timing &
- Synchronization: Specialized expertise in PTP (IEEE 1588v2) and NTP troubleshooting tailored for high-frequency trading (HFT) and financial environments.
- Hardware Platforms: Cisco Nexus N9000/N3000 (NX-OS)
- ASR 1000 Series (IOS-XE)
- Catalyst 9K/6K/4500/3850
- APIC/ACI exposure is a strong advantage.
- Lifecycle Management: Proven execution of ISSU, non-disruptive patching, and chassis or line-card replacements.

- Certifications

- Education: B.E. / B.Tech / BCA / MCA in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Certifications: CCNP Enterprise / Data Center required; active CCIE (R&S; / Enterprise / Data Center) strongly preferred.
