Role Description The Senior Manufacturing Manager will oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production in alignment with company quality standards and customer requirements. This full-time, on-site role is based in the Greater Chennai Area and includes managing production planning, supervising shop floor activities, and coordinating with cross-functional teams such as maintenance, quality, supply chain, and engineering. The role involves driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing resource utilization, monitoring key performance indicators,



and implementing lean and best-in-class manufacturing practices.

The Senior Manufacturing

Manager will mentor and develop team members, support recent product introductions, and collaborate closely with OEM partners to meet delivery schedules and performance targets. The role also requires adherence to regulatory and safety norms and active participation in audits and certification processes.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Production Planning and Production Management to manage capacity, scheduling, and workflow.
- Candidates should possess solid Manufacturing Operations and Operations Management capabilities to oversee daily plant activities and optimize processes.
- Candidates should possess robust Quality Control skills to maintain product standards, reduce defects, and support continuous improvement.
- Extensive experience in automotive or heavy engineering manufacturing, preferably with OEM or tier-1 supplier environments.
- Proven leadership experience managing large teams and complex operations, with a focus on safety, productivity, and employee engagement.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies, and experience working with KPIs and data-driven decision-making.
- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or related field); a postgraduate qualification in Operations or Management is an advantage.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple plants, departments, and global customers.
