Job Purpose
We are looking for an experienced HR Operations & Payroll professional who can independently manage end-to-end payroll operations across multiple hospital units, lead a payroll team, ensure statutory compliance, and deliver accurate and timely payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities
1. Multi-Unit Payroll Management
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple hospital units/locations.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly payroll processing for all employees.
- Manage payroll inputs including attendance, leave, incentives, overtime, deductions, arrears, reimbursements, full & final settlements, etc.
- Ensure proper coordination with Unit HR teams, Finance and other stakeholders.
2. Team Management
- Lead, manage and mentor the central payroll/HR operations team.
- Allocate responsibilities, monitor deliverables and ensure timely closure of payroll activities.
- Build strong processes, accountability and quality standards within the team.
3. Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance related to PF, ESIC, PT, TDS, Labour Welfare Fund and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal/external auditors and statutory authorities whenever required.
- Ensure timely submission of returns, challans and other statutory documentation.
4. HR Operations
- Oversee key HR operations across multiple units, including:
- Employee master data
- Attendance & leave management
- Full & final settlement
- Employee documentation
- HR MIS
5. Payroll Controls & Accuracy
- Establish strong payroll checks and validation mechanisms.
- Identify and resolve payroll discrepancies before salary processing.
- Ensure data integrity and confidentiality of employee compensation information.
- Drive payroll process improvements and automation wherever possible.
6. HR MIS & Analytics
- Prepare and review monthly payroll MIS, headcount reports, salary analysis, variance reports and management dashboards.
- Provide payroll and workforce insights to senior management.
- Monitor payroll cost, manpower movement and unit-wise salary trends.
7. Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with Unit HR Heads, Finance, Accounts, IT, Operations and Hospital Leadership.
- Resolve employee payroll-related queries and escalations within defined timelines.
- Ensure seamless coordination between corporate HR and multiple hospital units.
8. Process Improvement
- Standardize HR Operations & Payroll processes across all units.
- Develop and implement SOPs, payroll calendars, controls and audit mechanisms.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and turnaround time.
Mandatory Requirements ✅ 12–15 years of overall HR experience
✅ Hospital/Healthcare industry experience is mandatory
✅ Solid experience in multi-unit payroll management
✅ Proven team-handling/leadership experience
✅ Strong knowledge of Indian payroll and statutory compliances
✅ Experience in HRMS/Payroll software and MS Excel
✅ Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder-management skills
✅ Ability to manage payroll independently for a large workforce
