SensorVision is an IoT solutions development company based in Calicut. We work with clients across the US, UK, Europe, and Australia, helping them build and scale connected digital products. While IoT is a significant part of what we do, we are a product engineering company with capabilities that span the entire technology stack—embedded systems, firmware, cloud infrastructure, web applications, and mobile apps.

We are also an extended R&D; team for companies that don't have IoT expertise in-house. That means every project is different—different hardware, different protocols, different use cases. We are a small team, flat structure; you will interact directly with clients, understand their requirements and own the technical delivery.

We are looking for a Senior IoT Engineer to join us full time in Calicut: someone who can quickly understand a new problem, pick up a new MCU or sensor, and deliver working code without hand-holding.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Execute full Embedded device development life cycle
- The ability to assemble physical hardware including boards and sensors
- Programming skills to develop interaction between devices and servers
- Has complete understanding of the interaction between physical hardware and software programming
- Develop flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions.
- Write well-designed, testable and quality code
- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems.
- Comply with project plans and industry standards




- Participate in tasks related to new product development/feature development including planning, task estimation, design, programming, unit testing, peer review, integration, and release
- Enforce process and coding standards
- Identify product specifications and determine operational feasibility.
- Collaborate with external and internal customers, such as Marketing, Service, Operations and other engineering teams throughout the product development life cycle
- Participate in the analysis and specification of embedded software subsystems
- Design and implement the unit test in support of developer testing activities and integration with Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines
- Participate and lead design and code reviews
- Lead high-level design activities for new product features
- Plans and executes tasks in collaboration with the product team to ensure project objectives are met
- A keen eye for the latest trends in the IoT space , MCU's, Sensors, Programming skills etc.

Skills: Mandatory Requirements-

- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python with extensive knowledge of Embedded Systems, Multi-threading, RTOS concepts, taskscheduling, synchronization, and resource management.
- Robust experience in embedded system development, system integration, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
- Proficient in wired communication protocols including UART, I2C,SPI, CAN, RS485, and Modbus/Modbus RTU.




- Hands-on experience with wireless communication technologies including BLE, Classic Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, LoRa, and LoRaWAN.
- Strong experience with embedded platforms including ESP32/ESP,STM32, nRF, Raspberry Pi, and Arduino.
- Proficient with embedded development environments and IDEs such as VS Code, ESP-IDF, Keil, PlatformIO, and Arduino IDE.

Preferred Requirements-

- Experience with GSM/cellular communication modules, modem configuration, AT commands, network connectivity, and data communication.
- Experience with OTA (Over-the-Air) firmware updates, device provisioning, remote firmware deployment, and embedded device maintenance.
- Experience with source code management and collaborative development using Git, GitHub, and GitLab.
- Experience in cloud and IoT integrations using HTTP/REST APIs, MQTT, and other device-to-cloud communication mechanisms.
- Ability to architect embedded solutions and product-level designs, including hardware-software integration, communication architecture, and system-level design decisions.
- Hands-on experience in PCB design review, hardware evaluation, board bring-up, testing, debugging, and hardware-software integration.
- Strong ability to analyze complex technical issues, perform root- cause analysis, and develop reliable and scalable embedded solutions.

Good to Have-

- Strong knowledge of Linux, including command-line tools, system configuration, networking, process management, scripting, and embedded Linux troubleshooting.
- Experience in product development lifecycle, from requirement analysis and architecture/design to implementation, validation, troubleshooting, and deployment.
