Job Summary

Functions as a senior engineering technician, technical design specialist and/or supervisor. Applies advanced technical expertise to address complex design challenges, typically within a specific engineering discipline, and contributes to the development of innovative engineering solutions. Utilizes digital tools and design software (e.g., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) in conjunction with standardized procedures to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables. In addition to hands-on design and production responsibilities, this role provides consultation, training, and oversight to other engineering technicians to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to project standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Minimum qualification Diploma or Electrical Certified
- Provide supervisory/lead responsibility over a group of project controls personnel or function as a technical specialist developing advanced concepts.
- Offer technical direction to the team and may be responsible for employee performance appraisals.
- Coordinate design activities with other departments to ensure seamless integration.
- Attend client and chief engineering meetings to represent the team and provide technical inputs.
- Provide technical guidance and task assignments to less experienced planning/scheduling and cost engineering personnel.
- Manage design team members,



assigning tasks and monitoring progress.
- Typically requires 18+ years of experience in planning/scheduling and/or cost engineering.

Management Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred. Bachelor Degree in an Engineering Design Related Technology (preferred). Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, SP3D, E3D software tools.

Minimum Qualifications

Typically a minimum of 11 years related work experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
