Senior ELV Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior ELV (Extra Low Voltage) Engineer to lead the design, engineering, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of ELV systems for building and infrastructure projects. The candidate will coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and other MEP disciplines to ensure systems are delivered in accordance with project specifications, applicable standards, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the engineering and execution of ELV systems for commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects.
- Review project specifications, drawings, BOQs, and technical requirements.
- Prepare and review shop drawings, schematic diagrams, layouts, cable schedules, equipment schedules, and material submittals.
- Coordinate ELV works with architectural, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and structural teams.
- Supervise installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of ELV systems.
- Monitor site progress, workmanship, quality, and compliance with approved drawings.
- Coordinate with consultants, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and site teams.
- Review technical submissions, method statements, inspection requests, and material approvals.
- Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues and installation conflicts.
- Support project planning, procurement, material selection, and technical evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant international standards, local codes, and project specifications.
- Prepare testing and commissioning procedures and ensure successful system handover.
- Review as-built drawings, O&M; manuals, test reports, and other project closeout documentation.
- Troubleshoot system failures and provide effective technical solutions.




- Mentor junior engineers and technicians and provide technical guidance to the project team.

ELV Systems Experience in several of the following systems is preferred:

- CCTV / Video Surveillance
- Access Control
- Intrusion Detection
- Public Address & Voice Evacuation
- Structured Cabling / Data & Voice
- Audio-Visual Systems
- Building Management System (BMS)
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Intercom Systems
- Digital Signage
- Networking and ELV infrastructure

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Communication, or related engineering discipline.
- Typically 7–12 years of relevant ELV engineering experience, with strong experience in project execution.
- Experience with large-scale commercial, data center, airport, or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of ELV design, installation, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and other engineering/design software.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards such as NFPA, IEC, BS, ISO, TIA, and applicable local regulations.
- Strong knowledge of technical documentation and project coordination.
