About the Role

We are seeking an experienced

Senior Account Officer – US Accounting to support accounting operations for US CPA firms and accounting clients. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in bookkeeping, financial accounting, General Ledger (GL), Record-to-Report (R2R) processes, and client communication. This role involves handling end-to-end accounting activities, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting client engagements while maintaining high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting activities for US CPA firms and accounting clients.

- Perform bookkeeping, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), bank and credit card reconciliations.

- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.

- Support month-end and year-end closing activities.

- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and account reconciliations.

- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and client-specific accounting requirements.

- Coordinate with clients to resolve accounting queries and gather required information.

- Maintain accuracy,



completeness, and timeliness of financial records.

- Assist in process improvements and maintain accounting documentation and SOPs.

- Support junior team members by providing guidance on accounting processes and best practices.

- QuickBooks Online/Desktop

- Xero

- Sage / Intacct

- Bill.com, Gusto, ADP (Preferred)

- Advanced Microsoft Excel

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, Financial Accounting, General Ledger Accounting, and R2R processes.

- Hands-on experience in bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

- Experience working with US CPA firms or outsourced accounting clients.

- Strong communication and client-handling skills.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a quick-paced environment.

- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- CA Inter, M.Com, MBA Finance, CPA (Preferred), or equivalent accounting qualification.
