We are looking for a Security Operations Analyst to join our growing SecOps team. This is an opportunity to work directly with real security incidents, develop hands-on Microsoft security skills, and progress through a defined career path with funded professional certifications.

The Role

As a Security Operations Analyst, you will be on the front line of our managed security service, monitoring and investigating security alerts across multiple client environments.

You will

- Triage and investigate security alerts and incidents using Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender XDR.
- Assess alerts, identify true and false positives, and escalate genuine incidents appropriately.
- Investigate identity and email security threats, including risky sign-ins, phishing and suspicious forwarding rules.
- Use tools such as VirusTotal and urlscan.io to investigate suspicious URLs and files.
- Use KQL for security alert investigation, queries and basic threat hunting.
- Investigate endpoints using Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
- Work across multiple Microsoft client tenants while maintaining strict tenant and security hygiene.
- Manage security tickets from assignment through to resolution, ensuring clear documentation and communication.
- Provide effective shift handovers,



including cross-region handovers where required.
- Contribute to security runbooks, processes and continuous improvement.
- Provide feedback to the product team on security reporting and client requirements.

What We're Looking For

You should have

- Good understanding of Microsoft 365, Entra ID, MFA and Conditional Access.
- Understanding of common security threats such as phishing, risky sign-ins and account compromise.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Strong attention to detail and ticket-management discipline.
- A genuine interest in cybersecurity and willingness to learn.
- Either some hands-on Security Operations / SOC experience, or strong Service Desk / IT Support experience with a security focus.

Desirable Skills

Experience with any of the following would be beneficial:

- Microsoft Sentinel
- Microsoft Defender XDR
- Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
- KQL
- MITRE ATT&CK;
- Azure / Microsoft Entra
- MSP or MSSP environments
- Multi-tenant Microsoft environments
- Security monitoring or incident response

Certifications & Development

You don't need to have every certification on day one.

On joining, or shortly afterwards, we expect you to work towards:

- SC-900 – Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals
- AZ-900 – Microsoft Azure Fundamentals





We will fund and support your development towards SC-200 – Microsoft Security Operations Analyst, which is the core certification for this role.

As you progress, further opportunities include certifications such as AZ-500 / SC-500 and other advanced security qualifications.
