Key Responsibilities:

- Edit and proofread Science content (Physics, Chemistry, Biology, EVS) for childrens books (K-8).

- Ensure content accuracy, age-appropriate language, and conceptual clarity.

- Align manuscripts with latest NCERT/CBSE curriculum and guidelines.

- Verify scientific facts, diagrams, tables, activities, and illustrations.

- Simplify complex scientific concepts for young learners.

- Coordinate with authors, illustrators, designers, and internal editorial teams.

- Review page proofs/PDFs and provide clear, detailed correction instructions.

- Ensure high editorial quality while meeting production timelines.

Qualification:

- Bachelors degree required; graduate/postgraduate in Science preferred.

- 5-7 years of experience as a Science Editor in an educational publishing house, especially childrens books.

Skills Required:

- Strong proofreading, copy-editing, and content development skills

- Excellent subject knowledge of School-level Science (K8)

- Experience with AI tools and technologies is preferred.

- High attention to detail and accuracy

- Positive communication and coordination skills

- Ability to manage multiple titles and meet deadlines.
