They work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and administrators to foster a positive and inclusive school workplace that promotes students' well-being, personal growth, and academic success. /n Key Responsibilities: /n 1.

Student

Well-being & Social-Emotional Support /n /n

- Provide individual and group counseling to address students' personal, social, and emotional challenges.

/n

- Develop and implement social-emotional learning (SEL) programs and well-being initiatives.

/n

- Support students in managing stress, anxiety, and mental health concerns.

/n

- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment in line with IB Learner Profile attributes.

/n /n 2. Academic & Career Guidance /n /n

- Assist students in setting academic and personal goals.

/n

- Support students in time management, study skills, and learning strategies.

/n

- Guide students in the university and career exploration process, including college applications, scholarships, and career pathways.

/n

- Provide counseling on subject selection based on students' interests and future aspirations.

/n /n 3. Collaboration with Stakeholders /n /n

- Work closely with teachers to identify and support students with learning difficulties, behavioral issues, and emotional concerns.

/n

- Communicate with parents regarding students' progress, challenges, and strategies for support.

/n





- Collaborate with external mental health professionals when specialized support is needed.

/n

- Conduct workshops and sessions for parents, students, and teachers on mental health, well-being, and life skills.

Protection & Safeguarding /n /n

- Ensure adherence to child protection policies and report any safeguarding concerns.

/n

- Promote awareness of student safety and well-being through workshops and training.

/n /n 5.

Program

Development & Implementation /n /n

- Design and implement counseling programs aligned with CBSE philosophy and best practices.

/n

- Maintain counseling records, track student progress, and assess the effectiveness of counseling interventions.

/n

- Stay updated on best practices in school counseling and mental health support.

/n /n Qualifications & Requirements: /n /n

- Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field .

/n

- Experience as a school counselor, preferably in a school setting.

/n

- Knowledge of child development, mental health issues, and crisis intervention strategies.

/n

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

/n

- Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, parents, and school leadership.

/n /n Preferred Skills: /n /n

- Training in Mindfulness, Positive Psychology, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), or other counseling techniques .

/n

- Experience working with multicultural and diverse student populations.
