We are seeking an experienced SAP Workflow & ABAP Developer with 10+ years of SAP development experience and strong expertise in SAP Workflow, ABAP, BRF+, OOP, and S/4HANA technologies .

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, and optimizing end-to-end SAP workflow and ABAP solutions across business processes, particularly within Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, and other SAP modules .

The role requires strong technical depth combined with an understanding of functional business processes and the ability to work closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, BASIS, and Security teams .

Requirements Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, configure, and enhance SAP workflows to automate business processes, approvals, notifications, and escalations
- Develop and maintain workflow components including event linkages, BOR objects/classes, tasks, task containers, deadlines, substitutions, and escalations
- Develop and enhance workflow user interfaces using SAP Fiori/UI5, My Inbox, SAP GUI, and Web Dynpro
- Design and implement custom workflow templates, rules, and decision logic using BRF+, Rule Resolution through Function Modules, and Organizational Objects
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve workflow issues in production using tools such as SWI1, SWIA, and other workflow monitoring utilities
- Optimize workflow performance and improve SAP Business Workflow/UWL/My Inbox usability
- Develop, test, and implement ABAP solutions across SAP ECC and S/4HANA
- Independently manage end-to-end ABAP development activities, including requirement analysis, technical design, coding, unit testing, debugging, deployment, and production support
- Develop solutions using modern ABAP Object-Oriented programming practices
- Work with CDS Views, OData services, and other S/4HANA development technologies
- Analyze ABAP code and identify performance bottlenecks, memory issues,



and inefficient database access, implementing appropriate optimization techniques
- Review functional requirements and translate them into scalable and maintainable technical solutions
- Prepare technical design documents, development specifications, and technical documentation
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to SAP development standards and best practices
- Collaborate with functional consultants and business users to understand business requirements and recommend appropriate workflow and technical solutions
- Work closely with BASIS and Security teams for workflow configuration, authorizations, transports, integrations, and production deployments
- Provide technical guidance and development support for SAP business processes across multiple modules
- Contribute to SAP modernization initiatives involving SAP BTP and cloud-based services

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline
- 10+ years of overall SAP development experience, with strong technical expertise in ABAP and Workflow
- 5+ years of hands-on SAP Workflow development and implementation experience
- Strong expertise in SAP ABAP and Object-Oriented ABAP (OO ABAP)
- Strong experience with SAP Workflow Builder, Business Object Builder, UWL, and workflow administration/monitoring tools
- Hands-on experience with:

- Workflow templates and tasks

- Event linkages
- BOR Objects and ABAP Classes

- Task containers

- Rules and responsibilities

- Deadline monitoring

- Substitutions

- Escalations
- Workflow troubleshooting and error handling




- Strong experience with BRF+ and workflow rule configuration
- Experience developing workflows using SAP Fiori/My Inbox, UI5, SAP GUI, and/or Web Dynpro
- Strong knowledge of SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA development environments
- Experience with modern S/4HANA technologies such as:

- CDS Views

- OData
- RAP / modern ABAP development concepts
- REST/API-based integrations
- Strong debugging skills and experience identifying and resolving ABAP and workflow issues
- Strong understanding of ABAP performance tuning and optimization, including database access and efficient coding practices
- Good understanding of SAP business processes across multiple modules, particularly Procurement, Supply Chain, and Finance
- Experience working with SAP BTP services and ability to develop or support solutions deployed on BTP
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to work independently and provide technical guidance to development teams

Preferred Skills

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA migration or transformation projects
- Experience integrating SAP workflows with Fiori, BTP, APIs, and external applications
- Knowledge of SAP Cloud Integration / Integration Suite
- Experience with workflow modernization and migration from traditional SAP Workflow to newer SAP technologies
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Strong understanding of SAP security, authorizations, transports, and production deployment processes
