Role Description This is a full-time, in office Sales Executive role based in Chennai.

The Sales

Executive is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with existing clients, and promoting SRFM Shipping’s services to meet sales targets. Daily tasks include prospecting leads, preparing and delivering sales presentations, negotiating rates and contracts, coordinating with operations and documentation teams, and ensuring smooth handover of secured business. The role also involves monitoring market trends, maintaining accurate sales records and reports,



and providing timely feedback to management on customer needs and competitive activity.

The Sales

Executive is expected to represent the company professionally at client meetings, industry events, and site visits.

Qualifications

- Demonstrated ability in sales, business development, or account management, preferably in shipping, logistics, or related industries.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Good understanding of basic commercial concepts such as pricing, margins, and contract terms; familiarity with shipping or freight processes is an advantage.
- Proficiency in using office productivity tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentations, CRM or sales tracking software) to manage leads and reporting.
- Proactive, target-driven mindset with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Logistics, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai and travel locally for client meetings as required.
