Role Description The Safety Engineer will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring safety protocols across construction and infrastructure projects at GVS PROJECTS. This full-time, on-site role based in Mangalagiri involves conducting risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and internal policies.
The Safety
Engineer will investigate incidents, recommend corrective and preventive actions, and maintain safety documentation and reports. Daily activities include collaborating with project managers and site supervisors, providing safety briefings,
and overseeing the use of safety equipment and protective measures. The role also includes training workers on safe work practices, coordinating with occupational health resources, and supporting continuous improvement of safety performance on all active sites.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Safety Engineering and Construction Safety for infrastructure and civil/electrical projects.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health principles and practices in construction and industrial environments.
- Familiarity with Security measures related to project sites, equipment, and personnel safety.
- Experience in designing and delivering Training programs on safety procedures, emergency response, and secure work practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Safety) or a related technical field; safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) are an advantage.
- Understanding of national safety regulations, codes, and standards relevant to infrastructure and railway projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify hazards and recommend practical solutions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence safe behavior across diverse site teams.
- Proficiency in preparing safety reports, documentation, and using basic digital tools for data tracking and incident management.
- Prior experience in large-scale infrastructure or railway-related projects is preferred.
