Role Overview

We are looking for a Category Executive – Ready to Wear to manage the Ready-to-Wear Brands & Accessories category and work closely with the Category Manager to achieve sales and profitability objectives.

Initially, the role will focus on Jackets, Long Suits, Shoes and Ethnic Accessories , with additional product categories being added over time. The role will cover the complete category cycle from OTB (Open-to-Buy) planning and buying to sales, inventory management, customer feedback and seasonal analysis .

Key Responsibilities

Analysis & Planning

- Conduct sell-through analysis by product and store and recommend corrective actions.
- Analyze seasonal performance to identify products for carry-forward, markdown or liquidation.
- Monitor store stock levels, base stock and inventory performance, including quick/slow-moving items and carrying costs.
- Monitor MIS and highlight variances between actual stock and minimum stock requirements.




- Plan stock requirements for promotions and support sales targets and performance tracking.
- Identify liquidation opportunities while ensuring inventory does not accumulate before the next season.

Buying & Merchandising

- Develop product ranges and advise on product presentation and appropriate price points.
- Prepare buying plans and provide Open-to-Buy (OTB) recommendations to the Senior/Category Manager.
- Source products and vendors, negotiate prices and ensure orders are placed at the right time to achieve targeted margins.
- Follow up on orders and ensure timely deliveries.
- Conduct quality checks and ensure adherence to defined quality standards.
- Manage stock replenishment based on sales and inventory requirements.
- Provide customer and market feedback to Design & Product teams for future season development.

Additional Responsibilities

- Follow up on online orders, merchandise sourcing and invoicing.
- Support BTB (Back-to-Business) requirements as and when required.
- Work closely with the Category Manager and cross-functional teams to achieve category sales and business objectives.
