Job Summary The Fixture Quality, Assembly & PDI Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all gauging fixtures and inspection systems are assembled correctly, inspected as per design specifications, tested, calibrated (where applicable), and approved before dispatch. The role focuses on delivering zero-defect products through systematic quality checks, functional testing, documentation, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fixture Assembly

- Assemble gauging fixtures, inspection fixtures, and automation assemblies as per approved drawings.
- Ensure correct fitment of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and sensor components.
- Verify proper alignment and smooth operation of all moving parts.
- Coordinate with stores for availability of assembly components.

2. Quality Inspection

- Inspect all machined components before assembly.
- Verify critical dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
- Ensure components meet drawing tolerances and customer specifications.
- Identify non-conforming parts and coordinate corrective actions.

3. Pre-Dispatch Inspection (PDI)

- Perform 100% PDI before shipment.
- Verify product functionality as per customer requirements.
- Check pneumatic leakage, movement, repeatability,



and overall performance.
- Validate all accessories, documents, and standard items before dispatch.
- Ensure packaging quality meets transportation standards.

4. Functional Testing

- Conduct trial runs and performance validation.
- Verify repeatability and measurement accuracy.
- Test sensors, probes, air gauges, indicators, LVDTs, and electronic devices where applicable.
- Record test observations and maintain test reports.

5. Documentation

- Prepare inspection reports.
- Maintain PDI checklists.
- Maintain assembly records.
- Record NCRs and corrective actions.
- Update quality records in ERP or quality management system.

6. Customer Quality Compliance

- Ensure compliance with customer standards.
- Support customer inspections and audits.
- Resolve customer quality observations before dispatch.

7. Continuous Improvement

- Identify recurring quality issues.
- Recommend process improvements.
- Participate in Kaizen, 5S, Lean, and Zero Defect initiatives.
- Reduce rework and rejection.

8. Safety & Housekeeping

- Follow safety procedures during assembly and testing.
- Maintain clean and organized assembly area.
- Ensure proper handling of precision measuring equipment.

Pay: ₹11,004.17 - ₹45,439.44 per month
