- A Quality Engineer in the foundry industry manages metal-casting quality control, inspects raw and finished castings, and drives process improvements to reduce casting defects

Key Responsibilities

- Casting Inspection: Inspect raw materials, sand properties, molten metal temperature, and final cast products for defects like blowholes, shrinkage, or cracks.

- Process Control: Monitor molding, core-making, melting, pouring, and shakeout processes using Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Defect Analysis: Perform root cause analysis (RCA) using tools like 5-Why or Ishikawa diagrams to resolve casting rejections.
- Compliance Management: Maintain standards aligned with frameworks like ISO 9001 or IATF 16949.

- Documentation: Prepare Production Part Approval Process (PPAP)



and First Article Inspection (FAI) reports

Required Qualifications

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or Industrial Engineering or Diploma

- Experience: 2 to 5 years of quality control or engineering experience, preferably in a foundry or heavy manufacturing workplace
