About The Role
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, security, and reliability of our Payments Platform and financial transaction systems. Your primary focus will be on owning end-to-end testing processes across various components, including mobile applications, backend microservices, APIs, and payment integrations.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for automation, distributed systems, and building high-quality payment solutions that are secure, compliant, and accurate. You will work closely with engineering, product, and security teams to develop comprehensive testing strategies, automate testing workflows, and troubleshoot issues to maintain the highest standards of quality in our payment ecosystem.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in software quality assurance, preferably within the payments or financial technology industry.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MCA, or Engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Java and experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Hands-on experience testing Android applications,
with a solid understanding of mobile automation tools such as Appium and Selenium.
- Good knowledge of payment technologies including EMV, NFC, Contactless Payments, and ISO 8583 standards.
- Experience with REST APIs, Postman, Rest Assured, and API automation testing.
- Familiarity with code quality tools such as SonarQube and testing tools like JUnit.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
- Knowledge of security testing tools like OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite, and experience supporting PCI DSS and EMV compliance.
- Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL and experience validating financial transactions.
- Experience working with Kafka, microservices, distributed systems, version control (Git), Jira, and CI/CD pipelines.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive end-to-end test strategies for payment transaction flows, including EMV, sales, authorization, refunds, reversals, settlement, and reconciliation processes.
- Validate payment workflows across mobile applications, backend microservices, APIs, payment gateways, acquirers, processors, and banking systems to ensure seamless and secure transactions.
- Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Java for API, mobile, and backend testing, ensuring efficient and reliable test execution.
- Create automated regression test suites and integrate quality gates within CI/CD pipelines to facilitate continuous testing and deployment.
- Perform performance, load, and stress testing to evaluate system scalability and reliability under various conditions.
- Conduct security testing to identify vulnerabilities related to encryption, authentication,
and common OWASP security risks, supporting PCI DSS and EMV compliance efforts.
- Execute compatibility testing across multiple mobile devices and operating system versions to ensure consistent user experience.
- Perform root cause analysis of production issues, collaborating with engineering teams to resolve critical transaction failures and improve system stability.
- Maintain documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports, ensuring traceability and accountability throughout the development lifecycle.
