We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented QA Manager to lead the Quality Assurance function at our manufacturing facility.

Position Summary The QA Manager will be responsible for establishing, implementing and continuously improving the site Quality Management System. The position will ensure that materials, manufacturing processes, finished products, documentation and dispatch activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements, customer specifications and internal quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Management System

- Implement and maintain GMP, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, HACCP and applicable food-safety systems.
- Prepare, review and approve SOPs, specifications, formats, quality manuals and master documents.
- Ensure effective document control, record retention and data integrity.
- Monitor quality-system implementation across Production, QC, Warehouse, Purchase, Engineering and R&D.;
- Conduct Management Review Meetings and monitor action-point closure.

Regulatory and Certification Compliance

- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, APEDA, Spices Board, US FDA, EU and relevant export-market requirements.
- Coordinate GMP, ISO, FSSC, HACCP, Halal, Kosher, Organic and customer audits.
- Maintain continuous readiness for regulatory, customer and certification inspections.
- Monitor regulatory changes and communicate their impact to relevant departments.
- Review product labels, claims, declarations and regulatory documentation.

Manufacturing Quality Assurance

- Ensure line clearance, hygiene, sanitation and pre-production checks.
- Review batch manufacturing, packing, cleaning and in-process control records.
- Monitor compliance with approved manufacturing processes and critical process parameters.
- Ensure traceability of raw materials, packaging materials, intermediates and finished products.
- Prevent contamination, cross-contamination, mix-ups and allergen risks.
- Review deviations and authorize appropriate batch disposition with the QC and management teams.

Raw Material and Supplier Quality

- Establish quality specifications for raw materials, packaging materials and outsourced services.
- Develop and maintain an approved supplier and contract-manufacturer programme.
- Conduct supplier qualification, risk assessment, audits and periodic evaluation.




- Review supplier COAs, questionnaires, certifications and regulatory declarations.
- Ensure appropriate controls for pesticides, heavy metals, microbiology, mycotoxins, aflatoxins, PAHs, residual solvents and other relevant contaminants.

Quality Control Oversight

- Coordinate with QC for timely sampling, testing and release of materials.
- Review analytical results, COAs, chromatograms and laboratory records.
- Oversee analytical-method verification/validation, instrument calibration and laboratory practices.
- Ensure proper control of reference standards, reagents and retention samples.
- Investigate out-of-specification, out-of-trend and atypical results.
- Coordinate testing with qualified and NABL-accredited external laboratories.

Deviation, CAPA and Change Control

- Manage deviations, incidents, non-conformities, OOS/OOT results and customer complaints.
- Lead root-cause investigations and establish corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor CAPA implementation and verify its effectiveness.
- Manage changes involving materials, processes, equipment, methods, facilities and documents.
- Conduct documented quality-risk assessments for significant changes.

Customer Complaints and Technical Support

- Investigate product-quality complaints and issue technically sound reports.
- Ensure timely resolution and closure of customer complaints.
- Identify recurring issues and implement preventive improvements.
- Support Sales and Export teams with technical queries, quality questionnaires and customer documentation.
- Participate in customer technical discussions and audits when required.

Documentation

Prepare, review and approve:

- Product specifications and Certificates of Analysis
- Technical Data Sheets and Safety Data Sheets
- Methods of Analysis and process-flow diagrams
- Composition and allergen declarations
- GMO, BSE/TSE, irradiation and vegan declarations
- Residual-solvent and contaminant declarations
- Stability and shelf-life documents
- Product labels and packaging specifications
- Customer questionnaires and vendor-qualification documents

Validation and Stability

- Prepare and implement the Validation Master Plan.
- Coordinate equipment qualification, process validation, cleaning validation and analytical-method validation.
- Establish hold-time studies, cleaning limits and changeover requirements.
- Coordinate warehouse temperature mapping and qualification.
- Implement real-time and accelerated stability programmes.
- Review stability trends and scientifically support product shelf life and storage conditions.

Audits and Training





- Prepare and implement the annual internal-audit schedule.
- Coordinate customer, supplier, regulatory and certification audits.
- Ensure timely closure of audit observations and non-conformities.
- Lead and develop the QA team.
- Conduct training on GMP, hygiene, food safety, documentation, data integrity and traceability.
- Promote a strong quality and food-safety culture across the organization.

Qualification

- M.Sc. in Chemistry, Food Science, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences; or
- B.Pharm/M.Pharm/B.Tech in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Certification in Quality Management, Food Safety, Lead Auditing or Regulatory Affairs will be an advantage.

Experience

• 6 –10 years of relevant experience , including at least 3–5 years in a managerial or team-lead role .

- Experience in nutraceuticals, herbal extracts, botanical ingredients, pharmaceuticals, food ingredients, natural colours, essential oils or oleoresins is preferred.
- Experience in handling customer, certification and regulatory audits is essential.
- Exposure to EU and US export-market requirements will be an advantage.

- Recommend approval, rejection, reprocessing or recall of products based on documented evidence.
- Escalate critical quality and regulatory risks directly to senior management.
