Urgent Opening Assistant Manager Quality

Position: Assistant Manager – Quality

Department: Quality Assurance / Quality Control

Location: Guwahati ( Rampur )

Reporting To: Quality Manager / Plant Head

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Assurance & Process Control

- Monitor quality parameters across all stages of production.
- Ensure adherence to approved specifications, SOPs, work instructions and quality standards.
- Monitor CCPs, CPs, GMP, GHP, SSOP and HACCP requirements.
- Coordinate with Production and Engineering teams for corrective actions.
- Monitor product quality, yield, rejection, rework and process losses.

2. Raw Material & Packaging Material Quality

- Inspect and approve incoming raw materials, ingredients and packaging materials as per specifications.
- Ensure proper sampling, testing and release of materials.
- Support supplier quality evaluation and audits.

3. Finished Product Quality

- Ensure in-process and finished products meet defined quality specifications.
- Review laboratory test results and authorize product release as per company procedures.

4. Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance

- Ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO 22000/FSSC 22000 and applicable customer requirements.
- Maintain food safety and quality documentation.
- Monitor hygiene, sanitation, pest control and environmental conditions.

5. Audit & Compliance

- Conduct internal quality,



GMP and hygiene audits.
- Coordinate customer, certification and regulatory audits.
- Prepare audit reports and ensure timely closure of observations/non-conformities.
- Drive CAPA implementation and verify effectiveness.

6. Customer Complaints & Quality Issues

- Investigate customer complaints and product quality concerns.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective/preventive actions.

Candidate Profile

Education:

- B.Tech / M.Tech in Food Technology / Food Science
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Food Technology / Microbiology / Chemistry may also be considered.

Experience:

- 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
- Experience in FMCG, food processing, dairy, ice cream, beverages, confectionery or similar food manufacturing preferred. Current FMCG food-quality postings commonly specify around 5–8 years' relevant QA experience.

Technical Skills:

- Robust knowledge of HACCP, GMP, GHP, FSMS, FSSAI
- Knowledge of ISO 22000/FSSC 22000
- Knowledge of microbiological and chemical testing
- RCA, CAPA and quality improvement
- Internal/external audit handling
- Supplier quality management
- MS Excel and quality MIS/reporting
- ERP/SAP knowledge will be an advantage
