Role: Qualified Accountant Location: Remote

Employment: Full-Time

Schedule: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM UK Business Hours, Monday to Friday

Experience: Junior (1 to 3 years post-qualified experience)

About The Role A rapidly scaling UK-based practice is looking for a Junior Qualified Accountant to support a range of UK clients across general accounting and bookkeeping requirements.This is a highly client-facing general accounting role where you will support the Practice Manager with the existing client portfolio, while also assisting a newly hired UK property specialist on a major commercial property project, specifically a large shopping center. Property experience is preferred but not essential.

We're looking for a hands-on, adaptable, and confident accountant who can manage multiple client requirements, engage directly with business owners, and take ownership of their work in a hyper-growth environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, resolve general queries, and prepare year-end accounts for UK clients.
- Actively participate in client-facing communications, including emails, WhatsApp, and quarterly client meetings.
- Work closely with and support the lead commercial property specialist on a large property client project.
- Handle accounts payable, supplier invoices, and payment preparation.
- Perform bank, balance-sheet, and control-account reconciliations.
- Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments, and month-end accounts.
- Maintain customer, supplier, and tenant ledgers where applicable.




- Support billing, invoicing, and financial reporting.
- Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies independently.

Must-Haves

- Newly qualified professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).
- 1 to 3 years of post-qualified experience.
- Confident, highly proficient written and verbal English skills suitable for a direct client-facing role.
- Robust general accounting and bookkeeping experience.
- Hands-on experience with AP, reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments, and month-end processes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Comfortable working closely with UK-based clients and internal teams via Slack, Outlook, and WhatsApp.

Nice-to-Haves:

- A basic understanding of UK taxes and UK VAT.
- Experience with UK commercial property systems such as Yardi, MRI, TRAMPS, Trace, MOJO, or Qube.
- Commercial property or property-management accounting experience, including knowledge of rent, service-charge, tenant, or client-money accounting.
- Previous experience in an accounting practice or outsourced finance environment.

What We're Looking For: A well-rounded, newly qualified accountant with strong technical fundamentals and confident communication skills who can adapt across different clients. Property accounting experience is an advantage, but strong general accounting capability and the ability to learn quickly from senior staff are the main priorities.
