Position: IT QA Analyst

Job Summary: The IT QA Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications and systems within the organization. This role involves planning, designing, and executing various testing activities to identify and report defects, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. The IT QA Analyst will also contribute to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies.

Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and specifications.

Execute functional, regression, and integration testing to ensure software applications meet quality standards.

Identify and document software defects and track them to closure using bug tracking tools.

Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and clarify software functionality.

Participate in design reviews and provide input to improve software usability, reliability, and performance.

Conduct test case reviews and provide feedback to ensure test coverage and accuracy.

Perform data validation and verification testing to ensure accurate data processing and integrity.

Create and maintain test environments and test data required for testing activities.

Report test progress, test results,



and overall quality status to project stakeholders.

Assist in the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools.

Stay updated with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and QA trends.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience as a QA Analyst or similar role, preferably in an IT setting.

Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.

Familiarity with testing techniques such as black box, white box, and gray box testing.

Experience with test management tools and bug tracking systems.

Proficient in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.

Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.

Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

ISTQB or other relevant certifications in software testing.

Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.

Knowledge of database concepts and SQL queries.

Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and REST APIs.
