QA Automation Team Lead

Position: QA Automation Team Lead

Experience: 7–13 years (with 2+ years in a lead/mentoring role)

Location : Chennai ( Maduravoyal)

Shift Timing : 3:00 PM to 12:00 PM

Primary skillset : Automation testing , Manual testing , Python, API testing , Selenium , AI Automation , Updated skill sets .

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, driving automation strategy and best practices

Design, develop, and maintain automation frameworks using Python + Selenium

Own API testing strategy (functional, regression, integration) using tools like Postman/RestAssured/PyTest

Drive manual testing efforts for exploratory, UAT, and edge-case scenarios

Integrate AI-driven automation (self-healing scripts, AI-based test generation, smart test prioritization, visual/ML-based validation)

Collaborate with Dev, Product, and DevOps teams to embed QA early in the SDLC





Set up and maintain CI/CD test pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab CI)

Define QA metrics, KPIs, and reporting for stakeholders

Conduct code/test reviews and ensure test coverage & quality standards

Required Skills

Python – strong scripting/automation skills

Selenium WebDriver – advanced framework design (Page Object Model, hybrid frameworks)

Manual Testing – robust understanding of test case design, STLC, defect lifecycle

API Testing – REST/SOAP, Postman, RestAssured, or similar

AI in Test Automation – experience with AI/ML-based testing tools (e.g., self-healing locators, generative test case creation, AI test analytics)

Experience with CI/CD tools and version control (Git)

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
