We are looking for a hands-on Lead Python Developer who enjoys being close to the code while also taking ownership of technical leadership within the team.

This is a 70% Individual Contributor + 30% Team Leadership role.

We are looking for someone who can design, develop and review production-grade backend systems, while also mentoring the team and driving engineering best practices.

What are we looking for?

We need someone who has a robust balance between Python Backend Development and Data Engineering.

Backend / Python

Strong hands-on experience with Python

Django / FastAPI / Flask or similar frameworks

REST APIs and backend service development

Object-oriented programming and software design principles

SQL and database design

Experience building scalable and high-performance applications

Data Engineering

Strong understanding of data pipelines and ETL/ELT

Experience with technologies such as Pandas, PySpark, Airflow, Kafka or similar





Strong SQL skills

Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases

Understanding of data processing, transformation and optimization

Exposure to distributed data processing and large-scale datasets

Engineering Practices

Git and collaborative development

Unit testing and debugging

CI/CD practices

Code review and engineering standards

System design and architecture

We're not looking for a pure Python developer who has only worked on application development.

We're also not looking for a pure Data Engineer.

We need someone who can comfortably operate at the intersection of:

Python Development + Backend Engineering + Data Engineering + Technical Leadership

Someone who can write the code, review the code, understand the architecture and guide the team.
