Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to manage and oversee the procurement of materials, components, and spare parts. The ideal candidate should have robust experience in electronic material and spare parts purchasing, vendor management, cost negotiation, and ensuring timely availability of materials for production and operations.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and manage procurement activities based on production and operational requirements.

- Source and procure electronic components, electrical materials, and industrial spare parts.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
- Prepare and release purchase orders in coordination with the concerned departments.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials as per required quality and specifications.
- Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality, Engineering, and Accounts departments.
- Monitor purchase orders, pending deliveries, and material shortages.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels and avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.
- Verify supplier quotations and compare prices, quality, and delivery terms.
- Handle vendor performance, quality issues, replacements, and delivery delays.
- Maintain purchase records, vendor databases, and procurement reports.
- Ensure compliance with company purchase procedures and approval processes.
- Support cost reduction, alternate vendor development,



and procurement improvement initiatives.

Preferred Experience

Experience in purchasing the following materials will be preferred:
- Electronic components and electronic spare parts.
- PCB, connectors, relays, switches, sensors, and related components.
- Electrical components, cables, terminals, and control-panel materials.
- Industrial machinery and equipment spare parts.
- Production consumables and maintenance materials.

Educational Qualification

* Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Additional qualification in procurement or supply chain management will be an advantage.

Required Skills

* Minimum 5 years of experience in purchase/procurement, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering organisation.

- Strong knowledge of electronic and electrical material procurement.
- Good vendor sourcing and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of purchase orders, quotations, material specifications, and commercial terms.
- Ability to read and understand technical specifications and part numbers.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP-based purchase processes.
- Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple purchase requirements and meet deadlines.
