Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Purchase Manager to manage the companys procurement activities. The candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating with suppliers, ensuring timely procurement, maintaining vendor relationships, and controlling purchase costs while maintaining required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage and supervise the complete purchase and procurement process.
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Source materials, equipment, components, and other required items as per company requirements.
- Obtain and compare quotations from multiple vendors.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial terms with suppliers.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) after receiving the required approvals.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials to avoid delays in projects and operations.
- Coordinate with Store, Accounts, Projects, Design, Service, and other departments regarding material requirements.
- Monitor pending orders and follow up with vendors for timely delivery.
- Ensure purchased materials meet the required quality and technical specifications.
- Maintain proper records of vendors, quotations, purchase orders, and procurement-related documents.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers.




- Monitor market prices and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Resolve issues related to material quality, delivery, quantity, and vendor performance.
- Support inventory planning and ensure optimum stock levels.
- Review vendor performance and take corrective action where required.
- Ensure procurement activities are carried out as per company policies and approval procedures.
- Handle purchase-related MIS and prepare regular reports for management.

Required Skills

- Solid vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Positive knowledge of procurement and purchase processes.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Strong follow-up and decision-making ability.
- Valuable knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
- Knowledge of ERP/HRMS or purchase management software will be an advantage.
- Ability to manage multiple requirements and meet deadlines.
- Good understanding of commercial terms, pricing, and payment conditions.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Relevant purchase/procurement experience will be preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 3–6 years of relevant purchase experience, preferably in HVAC, engineering, manufacturing, or a similar industry.
- Experience in handling multiple vendors and procurement requirements.
- Should be proactive, responsible, and capable of independently handling the Purchase Department.
- Should have robust negotiation, follow-up, and team coordination abilities.
