Managing Director THE OPPORTUNITY

We're recruiting a seasoned Senior Purchase Head to lead procurement strategy across our multi-project development portfolio. This is a strategic leadership role—not just vendor management. You'll own supply chain optimization, cost control, vendor relationship architecture, and material procurement across multiple concurrent projects. Your expertise will directly impact project profitability and execution timelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead procurement strategy for concurrent real estate projects; own vendor selection, contract negotiation, and cost management
- Maintain & develop relationships with key vendors (structural steel, concrete, MEP contractors, finishing materials); negotiate favorable commercial terms
- Establish quality standards & SLAs; monitor compliance, delivery timelines, and material specifications across all vendors
- Control material costs and procurement budget; identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
- Coordinate with project teams, site execution leads, and finance; ensure seamless procurement planning aligned with project schedules
- Build & maintain vendor scorecards; manage performance reviews, disputes, and quality issues at senior level
- Prepare vendor proposals, RFQs, and BOQs; handle competitive bidding and tender management

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE ✓ 10+ years of senior-level procurement/purchase leadership in real estate development (residential or mixed-use projects)





✓ Proven track record managing multiple concurrent large-scale projects with vendors and suppliers

✓ Deep expertise in material cost analysis, vendor negotiation, contract structuring, and supply chain optimization

✓ Experience with structural steel, RCC, MEP materials, finishing products, and equipment procurement

✓ Robust understanding of construction timelines, quality standards (IS/BIS codes), and logistics planning

✓ Excellent vendor management & negotiation skills; comfortable making autonomous decisions on commercial terms

✓ Proficiency in procurement software, MS Excel (advanced), and cost forecasting/budgeting tools

✓ Senior profile: stable work history, references from reputed developers, and demonstrated leadership of procurement teams

PREFERRED

- Familiarity with Kolkata/Eastern India supplier ecosystem and market rates
- Experience managing international vendor relationships or bulk material imports
