Role & responsibilities

- Develop and implement strategic sourcing and procurement policies.

- Lead vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.

- Ensure timely procurement of raw materials, components, and services.

- Monitor market trends and pricing to optimize cost and quality.

- Oversee purchase order processing and ensure compliance with internal controls.

- Collaborate with finance and production teams for budget alignment and material planning.

- Plan and manage inbound and outbound logistics, including transportation and warehousing.

- Optimize logistics costs while ensuring timely and damage-free deliveries.

- Implement and manage ERP/SAP systems for tracking and dispatch.

- Coordinate with transporters, customs, and regulatory bodies for smooth operations.

- Ensure statutory compliance (GST, RTO, pollution control, etc.).

- Lead and mentor procurement and logistics teams across locations.

- Foster cross-functional collaboration with production, quality, and finance departments.





- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement and logistics processes.

- Monitor KPIs such as cost savings, delivery timelines, inventory turnover, and vendor performance.

- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks including delays, shortages, and compliance issues.

- Ensure adherence to safety standards and zero-accident policies in logistics operations

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelors degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or Business (MBA preferred).

- 20 plus years of experience in procurement and logistics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

- Robust negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.

- Proficiency in ERP systems.

- Knowledge of customs, EXIM regulations, and statutory compliance.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
