About The Role We are seeking a highly experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead our Networking Domain team at ACL Digital in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in networking protocols, software development, and team leadership.

This role involves overseeing the end-to-end development of Layer‑2 and Layer‑3 networking protocols, ensuring the delivery of high-performance, scalable, and secure networking solutions. The manager will work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware, firmware, QA, and product management, to drive innovation and ensure the successful implementation of complex networking projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence the future of networking technology within a dynamic and growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications The successful candidate should have 12 to 18 years of relevant experience in software engineering, particularly within the networking domain.



A strong educational background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Electronic Engineering is essential, with higher degrees being advantageous.

Demonstrable hands-on experience with Layer‑2 and Layer‑3 protocols such as VLANs, STP/MSTP, LACP, ARP, IPv4/IPv6, static routing, OSPF, BGP, and multicast is required. Proficiency in programming languages like C, C++, Python, and Go is critical, along with a solid understanding of Linux networking stacks, kernel modules, and device drivers. The candidate should also have experience in performance optimization, debugging protocol interoperability issues, and working with hardware/software integration.

Proven leadership skills, including team building, mentoring, and project management, are essential for this role.

Responsibilities The role involves leading the development and deployment of complex networking protocols and solutions.

Key responsibilities include designing and implementing Layer‑2 and Layer‑3 networking features, ensuring interoperability across hardware and software platforms, and maintaining high standards for performance, security, and scalability. The manager will oversee the technical architecture, define specifications, and guide the team through coding, reviews,



and debugging activities. Building and mentoring a high-performing team of protocol engineers, developers, and QA specialists is a core aspect of the role.

The manager will also be responsible for project planning, scope management, risk mitigation, and ensuring timely delivery of projects.
