Role Overview

We are looking for a technically strong Project Engineer / Sr. Project Engineer to join our Agile Team.

The Project Engineer / Sr. Project Engineer will serve as the technical backbone of project delivery — responsible for design evaluation, techno-commercial assessment, solution preparation, and ensuring the feasibility and viability of proposals before they advance to execution.

This role demands deep domain knowledge in industrial automation and electrical systems, combined with sharp commercial awareness.

Core Responsibilities

A. Techno-Commercial Evaluation & Proposals

- Conduct thorough techno-commercial evaluation of client requirements, RFQs, and tender documents.
- Assess the commercial feasibility and technical viability of proposed solutions before committing to delivery.
- Prepare detailed, accurate, and competitive proposals including scope of work, BOMs, and cost estimates.
- Review and validate incoming proposals from vendors and subcontractors to ensure technical compliance and cost accuracy.
- Identify gaps, risks, or ambiguities in client specifications and proactively raise clarifications.

B. Design Review & Solution Development

- Lead and participate in design review sessions for CBM systems, substation automation, PLC/SCADA, and protection relay solutions.
- Prepare and validate technical solutions including system architecture, hardware selection, and integration strategies.
- Review engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, control cabinet layouts, and IO lists for correctness and compliance.




- Develop technical specifications for project equipment, instruments, and materials.
- Ensure all designs comply with applicable international electrical standards, codes, and client-specific requirements.

C. Project Documentation & Coordination

- Prepare key project documents: FAT procedures, IO lists, project plans, cost reports, and technical submittals.
- Coordinate with the drafting and design team for the creation and finalization of engineering drawings.
- Maintain and update engineering schedules, track technical deliverables, and flag deviations early.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with procurement, commissioning, and quality teams to ensure seamless execution.

D. Client & Stakeholder Interaction

- Interact with clients to interpret their technical requirements and represent the company's technical position.
- Support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and site activities as required.
- Perform quality control checks across schedules, budgets, and engineering outputs.
- Ready to Travel Internationally

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
- 4- 7 years of experience in electrical/industrial automation project engineering.
- Hands-on expertise in one or more: Substation Automation, PLC/SCADA, Protection Relays, Condition Based Monitoring Systems, Switchgear, Transformers, Motors/Generators.
- Strong experience in techno-commercial proposal preparation and design review.
- Proficiency in engineering design and visualization software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

- Experience in Oil & Gas, Power Substations, Plants, Refineries, or similar critical infrastructure, ABB, Siemens, Schneider, GE, Toshiba etc
- Familiarity with international standards (IEC, IEEE, ANSI, NFPA).
- Knowledge of Condition Based Monitoring tools, sensors, and data-driven asset health frameworks.
