PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

KEY CRITERIA (Experience/ knowledge, Skills, Attitudes)

To achieve the production target set by the head of department.

To utilize man, machine, machinery to the optimum level.

To ensure Quality product at all level.

To fulfill the standard requirement of QMS.

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Planning:

o As per the Production Plan, shift-wise allocation of the work volume, raw material distribution and consumables.

Production / manufacturing:

o Supervise process activities of manufacturing operations.

o Checking the accuracy of product specification.

o Checking the suitability and quality of materials during the production process.

o To maintain stock of materials and consumables and their appropriate storage during the shift.

o Verifying section-wise process parameters and to ensure all parameters are as per job cards.

o Suggesting Improvement in production and Reduction in wastage.

o Ensure delivery of products as per customers’ requirement with standard specification.

o Implement corrective and preventive actions on internal customer complaints, quality problems and any other issues.

o Co-ordinating with internal department like Maintenance, QA, R&D;, Stores.

o Preparation of various MIS as regards to productivity, quality, and performance.

o To ensure all production equipment is maintained and services appropriately.

o Re-allocating tasks whenever needed to achieve deadlines.

Manpower Planning:





o Ensuring manpower available for the production.

o Daily manpower planning and shift scheduling.

Training & Development:

o To assess the need of the employees.

o Ensure proper training of operators.

o Ensure on the job training of operators.

o Monitoring effectiveness of operators.

Project:

o Provide the production support for new developments.

o Provide the support for installation of recent equipments.

o Cost Analysis / advantages on the new projects.

o Recommending new projects, activities, automation to improve productivity, cost reduction drive.

Safety:

o Ensure the safety of Man, Machine and Materials.

o Train the operators for safety rules and regulations.

o Ensuring the zero accident level at all times.

Others:

o Communicating management decision / circulars to down the lines.

o Compliance on the part Quality Management System and conducting internal audit.

o To manage employees leave and working arrangement within the production department.

o Exposure to the QMS, customer audit requirements & expectations and comply with all the policies and procedures pertaining to those requirements.

o Ensure the departmental Policies and processes are aligned / updated with the changing customer requirements pertaining to EHS, Quality, Products, Material, People Sustainable development Initiatives etc.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

Industry Preference :

Preferably from manufacturing industry.
