Production Engineer Assembly & QC

Location: Cherlapally Industrial Estate, Hyderabad

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assembly Line & Workflow Management:

- Supervise and run day-to-day mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly operations for domestic and commercial water purifiers.
- Implement line balancing techniques to optimize the assembly sequence (bracket mounting, plumbing/piping routes, pump installation, cartridge fitting, and final wiring harness layout).
- Enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to avoid standard assembly hazards, such as internal tube kinking, loose wire terminations, or improper seal placements.

2. Testing & Quality Control (QC):

- Oversee the wet-testing bay to perform rigorous high-pressure leak tests, ensuring all fittings, quick-connects, and stainless-steel storage tanks maintain zero leakage under load.
- Partner with the electronics team to set up functional Digital RO testing parameters (checking TDS sensor calibrations, auto-flush sequences, flow-rate cut-offs, and display module feedback).
- Establish quality gates at critical stages of assembly and execute final Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) protocols before clearing inventory for shipping.

3. Packing, Logistics Readiness & Continuous Improvement

- Manage the final packing line to ensure purifiers are wrapped securely in anti-scratch layers, fitted safely within heavy-duty thermocol/foam cushioning, and boxed securely to withstand rugged transport across the Northeastern states.




- Verify that all required accessories (installation kits, external pre-filter housings, user manuals, and warranty cards) are systematically packed with each unit.
- Deploy lean manufacturing principles to reduce assembly cycle time, minimize component rework, and handle shop floor waste efficiently.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

- Education: Bachelors Degree (B.E. / B.Tech) or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of solid experience managing assembly and testing lines in consumer electronics, white goods, home appliances, or water purification industries.
- Domain Expertise: Transparent understanding of fluid dynamics (water pressure, flow rates, plumbing fittings, solenoid valves) paired with a solid grasp of basic electrical wiring and safety standards and knowledge into Sheet metal.

Technical & Soft Skills:

- Deep familiarity with assembly line testing equipment (pressure gauges, multi-meters, TDS/pH meters, and automated test benches).
- Proficiency in tracking production KPIs, creating defect logs, and conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on line failures.
- Strong leadership traits with the ability to manage, train, and guide a diverse team of line technicians, operators, and packers.
- Excellent time-management and coordination capabilities to keep pace with daily shipping and production schedules.
