Roles and Responsibilities :

- Design new products from concept to production, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and company standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop detailed designs, specifications, and documentation for manufacturability.
- Conduct Failure Analysis (DFA) and Design FMEA (DFMEA) studies to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Lead NPI projects from concept to launch, managing timelines, budgets, and resources.

Job Requirements :

- 10-15 years of experience in Product Design Engineering with expertise in DFA/DFM/NPI processes.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD or UG NX; knowledge of PCB layout design is an added advantage.
- Solid understanding of assembly process planning, tolerance analysis, PFMEA/PFMEA techniques.
- Excellent leadership skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

-Expertise in the complete product design lifecycle from concept, prototyping, validation, and DFM to mass production.

'-Proficient in PTC Creo, SolidWorks, CATIA, AutoCAD, 3D CAD modelling, 2D drawings, GD&T;, and tolerance stack-up analysis.

'-Experienced in electromechanical integration including PCBs, OLED/LCD displays, batteries, and antennas.

'-Skilled in Failure Analysis (FA), DFM, DFMEA, DOE, and RCCA across design, material, assembly, process, and fixture validation.

'-Strong experience in IP67/IP68 enclosure design, high-volume manufacturing, Six Sigma practices, and data-driven engineering decisions through correlation and commonality studies.

'-Collaborated with global customers and cross-functional teams for design optimisation, part manufacturing, assembly readiness, and production support.

'Failure Analysis (FA)



Engineer – Mobile Manufacturing

Perform failure analysis and root-cause investigation for mobile phone components, modules, and assemblies & FA report preparation on daily basis

Analyze failures related to mechanical, electrical, cosmetic, structural, and functional issues during NPI and mass production.

Lead failure analysis activities across P1, P2, EVT, DVT, PVT, and MP builds.

Conduct teardown, inspection, measurement, and defect characterization using tools such as microscope, Keyence, DSLR, FTIR, and other analytical equipment.

Perform 5 Why, Fishbone, DOE, and other root-cause analysis methodologies.

Collaborate with Product Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Process Engineering, Reliability, and supplier teams to identify and resolve issues.

Drive containment, corrective action, and preventive action (CAPA) for manufacturing and product failures.

Track FA issues, failure trends, and closure status through appropriate trackers and reporting systems.

Prepare technical reports, FA summaries, failure evidence, and presentation materials for internal and customer reviews.

Support build readiness and provide technical support during NPI and mass production phases.

Identify recurring failure trends and implement improvement actions to reduce defect rates and improve product quality.

Support cross-functional and supplier investigations for component and process-related failures.

Ensure proper documentation of failure modes, analysis results, root causes, and corrective actions.





Follow all relevant quality, safety, laboratory, and manufacturing procedures.

Process Engineer / Line Engineer – Mobile Manufacturing

- Monitor and manage line operations to ensure smooth and stable manufacturing.

*Conduct worst case calculation & tolerance analysis component & assembly level.

*Provide product design DFM, Process DFM. Involve in fixture optimization & DFM activity

*Support line setup, process qualification, ramp-up, and mass production activities.

*Analyze production issues, process abnormalities, and line performance to identify root causes,

*Improve production efficiency, and overall line productivity.

*Preform the design of experiments, JMP data record & data interpretation

*Develop work instructions, SOPs for line.

*Process validation & risk study & mitigation plan.

*Report preparation: line scrub report, commonality study

*Monitor key process parameters and implement corrective actions for process deviations.

*Work closely with Production, Quality, FA, Product Development, Equipment, and Maintenance teams to resolve line issues.

*Support NPI activities from P1, P2, and EVT/DVT/PVT through mass production.

Conduct process capability studies, DOE, data analysis, and continuous improvement activities.

Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to reduce defects & downtime

Support equipment, tooling, fixture, and automation validation and improvement.

Ensure compliance with safety, quality, process control, and manufacturing standards.

Prepare daily/weekly production build reports, process performance reports.

Drive line balancing, manpower optimization, and production capacity improvement.

Provide technical support and quick response to FATP line issues during all shifts.
