Key Responsibilities

- Design AIS/GIS substations up to EHV voltage levels.
- Prepare primary engineering drawings including layouts, sections, equipment arrangement and cable routing.
- Perform grounding/earthing and lightning protection design.
- Prepare and review equipment specifications, BOMs and RFQs.
- Review vendor technical offers and engineering documents.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable IEC and IEEE standards.
- Prepare/review engineering drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Coordinate with internal engineering teams, vendors and customers for technical requirements and design reviews.

Required Skills

- 8–12 years of relevant Substation Primary Design experience.
- Robust experience in AIS/GIS substation design.




- Exposure to EHV/HV substations.
- Hands-on knowledge of:
- Primary equipment layout

- Section/elevation drawings

- Earthing/grounding

- Lightning protection

- Cable routing

- Equipment specifications

- BOM/RFQ preparation

- Vendor offer evaluation

- Good knowledge of IEC/IEEE standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit.
- Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with strong HV/EHV AIS/GIS substation primary engineering and design experience will be preferred. Experience in utility, EPC, or power transmission projects is an advantage.
