Job Summary

Sky Ocean Shipping is looking for a Pricing Executive – to manage and develop competitive transportation rates for domestic and international road movements. The role will be responsible for obtaining transporter/vendor rates, preparing customer quotations, monitoring market pricing, negotiating with transport partners, and ensuring profitable and competitive pricing.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare competitive and accurate land freight/transportation quotations based on customer requirements.

- Obtain and compare transportation rates from transporters, truck operators, and logistics vendors.

- Negotiate rates with transport partners to achieve competitive pricing and required margins.

- Calculate transportation costs based on route, distance, vehicle type, cargo type, weight, volume, and other applicable charges.

- Maintain and regularly update land freight rate sheets and vendor pricing databases.

- Monitor market freight rates and transportation trends to ensure competitive quotations.

- Coordinate with sales and operations teams to understand customer requirements and provide timely pricing.

- Handle customer RFQs, rate requests, tenders, and contract pricing.

- Develop and maintain a reliable database of transporters and their applicable rates.

- Review existing rates and identify opportunities to improve margins and reduce transportation costs.

- Ensure all quotations are accurate, commercially viable,



and submitted within the required timelines.

- Follow up with transporters and vendors regarding rate validity, availability, and service conditions.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of land freight, road transportation, and trucking rates.

- Good understanding of routes, vehicle types, freight calculation, and transportation costs.

- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

- Good numerical and analytical skills.

- Proficiency in MS Excel and pricing/rate-sheet preparation.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

- Positive communication and coordination skills.

- Ability to work under pressure and meet quotation deadlines.

- Strong commercial awareness with a focus on cost control and profitability.

- Good follow-up skills and ability to build relationships with transporters and vendors.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.

- 1-2 years of experience in land freight pricing, transportation, freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field preferred.

- Experience in dealing with transporters, truck operators, and logistics vendors will be an advantage.

- Candidates with strong knowledge of local/domestic transportation markets and route pricing are preferred.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
