JOB DESCRIPTIONPosition: PPC Engineer – Production Planning & Control
Department: PPC / Production Planning
Reporting To: Management / Plant Head
Industry: Microwave Antenna / Telecommunication Equipment Manufacturing
Location: Chakan, Pune
Job Purpose To manage production planning, material planning, inventory coordination and production control for microwave antenna assembly operations.
The PPC Engineer will convert customer requirements into practical production plans by considering availability of China-supplied semi-finished materials, locally purchased packaging materials, manpower, production capacity, WIP and finished-goods requirements.
Key Responsibilities1. Customer Order & Demand Planning
· Review customer orders, forecasts and delivery requirements.
· Maintain customer open-order and pending-order status.
· Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans.
· Prioritize production based on customer delivery requirements.
· Communicate production priorities to Production and other concerned departments.
· Monitor changes in customer requirements, quantities and delivery schedules.
1. Production Planning
· Convert customer demand into production requirements. · Prepare production schedules for microwave antenna assembly.
· Consider material availability, manpower, production capacity and delivery requirements while preparing plans.
· Prepare daily production targets for different antenna models/sizes.
· Release and monitor production orders/work orders.
· Monitor plan vs. actual production.
· Identify production delays and prepare recovery plans.
1. Semi-Finished Material Planning – China Supply
· Prepare material requirements based on production plans and customer demand. · Monitor availability of semi-finished materials received from China.
· Maintain records of China-supplied semi-finished materials.
· Monitor expected arrival dates of China shipments.
· Coordinate with logistics regarding incoming China materials.
· Identify potential shortages of critical semi-finished materials in advance.
· Prepare shortage and requirement reports for management.
· Ensure production planning is aligned with actual material availability.
· Track material consumption against production requirements.
· Monitor excess, slow-moving and non-moving semi-finished materials.
1. Local Packaging Material Planning
· Identify packaging material requirements based on production and dispatch plans. · Prepare packaging material requirement forecasts..
· Monitor Purchase Orders and supplier delivery commitments.
· Maintain packaging material stock levels.
· Identify packaging material shortages before production/dispatch.
· Avoid excess and obsolete packaging inventory.
· Plan packaging materials according to product type, quantity and customer requirements.
1. Production Monitoring
· Collect daily production data from Production. · Monitor plan vs. actual production.
· Track WIP at different production stages.
· Monitor pending production orders.
· Identify bottlenecks and production delays.
· Coordinate with Production Manager for recovery actions.
· Monitor production capacity and manpower availability.
· Escalate risks that may affect customer delivery commitments.
1. Dispatch Planning
· Monitor finished-goods availability against customer orders. · Prepare dispatch priorities.
· Coordinate with Production, QA/QC and Logistics.
· Ensure finished products are available as per dispatch schedule.
· Monitor packaging readiness before dispatch.
· Track pending and overdue customer orders.
· Provide realistic delivery status based on material and production availability.

Qualification & Experience
· Diploma / BE / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or related field.
· Experience in PPC, production planning or manufacturing preferred..
· Good knowledge of Excel and production planning.
· Knowledge of inventory and material planning is essential.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
