Power BI Developer

Key Responsibilities

REPORT DEVELOPMENT

- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Build, test, and deploy Power BI or Report Builder (paginated) Reports to the Power BI Service.
- Build deploy and maintain Power BI datasets that are based on incremental refresh and partitions.
- Provide support and maintenance for all Power BI reports and datasets.
- Maintain data security and monitor access to reports.
- Respond to questions and resolve issues raised by stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field desirable but not mandatory

Skills & Experience

Essential

- 5-10 years of Report Development using Microsoft Power BI Desktop including strong experience in query languages

- DAX

- SQL
- Experience with Power BI Service, including best practice for:





- Deployment cycle

- Security management
- Robust understanding of Power BI Datasets

- Incremental Refresh
- Deployment and partitioning of large datasets

- Performance optimisations
- Strong skills and experience with Data Analytics
- Experience with Paginated Reports is desirable eg SSRS or Power BI Report Builder
- Familiarity with Power BI External Tools is desirable

- ALM

- Tabular Editor

- DAX Studio

Desirable
- Experience with SSAS Multidimensional cubes
- Experience with Databricks or SQL Server or similar
