About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PHP Developer to join IQVIA’s dynamic technology team in Bangalore. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and optimizing our enterprise SaaS platform, which serves as a backbone for various healthcare and life sciences solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in backend development, with expertise in PHP and modern MVC frameworks, and will be responsible for building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions.

Working in a hybrid environment, the Senior PHP Developer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including product managers, QA, and stakeholders—to deliver innovative and reliable software solutions that meet the evolving needs of the healthcare industry.





Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-8 years of professional experience in software development, with a proven track record of working across the entire software development lifecycle. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience, is required. Strong expertise in PHP 8.x, Object-Oriented Programming, and the LAMP stack is essential.

Experience with MVC frameworks such as CakePHP, along with proficiency in JavaScript frameworks like React, Angular, or Bootstrap, is highly desirable. Familiarity with database management systems including MySQL and NoSQL, as well as cloud platforms like AWS (EC2, S3, RDS), will be advantageous. Candidates with experience in the Life Sciences or Healthcare industry will have a distinct edge.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend applications using PHP 8.x and modern MVC frameworks, with a preference for CakePHP.
- Create and support RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services seamlessly into the platform.
- Optimize application performance, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability in a high-demand environment.
- Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Participate actively in code reviews, technical design discussions,



and Agile development processes to foster continuous improvement.
- Collaborate effectively with product managers, QA teams, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Maintain technical documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), to support ongoing system enhancements and compliance standards.
