Role & responsibilities

Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in packaging products and materials for storage or shipment: Studies production order to ascertain type and quantity of product, packaging material to be used, and other packaging requirements.

- Inspects products prior to packaging and returns rejected products to production departments.
- Observes packaging operations and inspects containers to verify conformance to specifications.
- Ensures proper handling of packaging machinery and timely notifies maintenance department whenever necessary.
- Trains workers in operation of equipment.
- Prepares all reports related to packaging and prepare monthly MIS for packaging
- Should be able to put packaging data in to the ERP available (Tally) and do it on timely basis.
- Ensures Cold chain is maintained throughout packaging line as per SOP designed and shared by QA.
- Ensure all food safety documents are maintained as required.
- Follow and maintain all food safety guidelines shared by QA. And ensure the same is followed by the packaging team as well.
- Packaging line to be optimized to run in line with the overall production targets assigned by the management.
