ABOUT THE CUB The Cub is a multidisciplinary centre for children, adolescents and families in South Delhi. Developmental and clinical psychologists, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, special educators and science educators work here on the same child, together, rather than in parallel. Families come to us because something about their child is not making sense to them, at home or at school or in themselves.

Our job is to help them understand it, and then do something useful with that understanding.

We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to hold the OT service: assessment, individual therapy, and OT input into our multidisciplinary assessments.

THE ROLE

You will

- Run occupational therapy assessments. Sensory profiles with parent and teacher report, standardised motor measures, clinical observation of gross and fine motor skill and praxis, functional task analysis, and a written report that a parent and a school can actually act on.
- Carry a caseload of weekly 50 minute individual sessions in our OT space, planned against goals set with the family.
- Build home and school programmes for every child on your caseload. Environmental adaptation is part of the intervention here.
- Contribute OT input to neurodevelopmental assessments (autism, ADHD and related profiles) alongside psychology and speech and language therapy.
- Work with parents directly. Every child has a parent contact rhythm attached: a short check-in at each session, a scheduled parent session every sixth week, and a formal review at set points.
- Liaise with schools, with written parental consent,



so that recommendations land where the child spends their day.
- Bring your cases to the weekly team meeting, and write your session notes the same day.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Essential

- BOT or MOT from a recognised institution, with AIOTA membership and RCI registration where applicable to your scope.
- At least 4 years of paediatric occupational therapy experience. We will consider a strong recent graduate whose clinical placements were substantially paediatric.
- Working knowledge of sensory integration theory and practice, and of standardised paediatric assessment tools (we hold Sensory Profile 2 among others).
- The ability to explain a sensory profile to a parent in plain language, without jargon and without false reassurance.
- Clear, timely written reports. Every report here is read by a second clinician before it is issued.

Desirable:
- Formal training or certification in Ayres Sensory Integration.
- Experience with handwriting and fine motor programmes, feeding or oro-motor work, or NDT.
- Experience working with schools on accommodations.
- Comfort working with neurodivergent children on their own terms rather than towards a norm.
