Node.js Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Node.js Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building scalable backend applications, RESTful APIs, database integration, and third-party API integrations.

You will work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other team members to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality backend services.

Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Design and implement clean, reusable, and maintainable code.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Work with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Write unit tests and perform debugging and troubleshooting.
- Identify and resolve production issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate APIs and backend services.
- Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.
- Work with Git and modern development/deployment workflows.
- Stay updated with emerging backend technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements
- 2–5 years of professional experience in Node.js backend development.
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Good understanding of Node.js.




- Strong understanding of REST APIs and API design principles.
- Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases.
- Good understanding of MongoDB, PostgreSQL and database concepts.
- Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab.
- Understanding of authentication mechanisms such as JWT/OAuth.
- Good knowledge of asynchronous programming, promises, and event-driven architecture.
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Good understanding of software development lifecycle and coding best practices.

Good to Have
- Experience with TypeScript.
- Experience with Redis and caching.
- Knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP.
- Knowledge of message queues such as RabbitMQ/Kafka.
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Experience with payment gateway or third-party API integrations.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools.
